If you have experienced sexual violence, whether recently or in the past, you can report it to the Police.

In Scotland, definitions of rape and sexual assault are provided by the Sexual Offences (Scotland) Act 2009.

If you want to report a crime directly to the Police directly, you can call the Police non-emergency number 101. If it is an emergency dial 999 and advise that you need to report a sexual assault and would like to speak to one of their specially trained officers.
